Mr. Cisco

Mr. Cisco is a thoroughbred born in 2003, bred for racing. He had a short career on the track before he was lucky enough to be retired to a pasture [instead of sent to slaughter] where he basically spent the next ten years with his best friend, Penny the goat. But he did not have anything to do, no purpose, and was unhappy. He is an extrovert, which means he has a lot of energy, and can be quite creative about finding ways to entertain himself when he is bored. He was adopted by a mama in 2016 who started to spend time teaching him basic ground work and riding skills. But she did not have the time she knew he needed, and loved him enough to contact us to find out if we could give him a forever safe home where he would have a whole family and purpose. He has a sweet, gentle, tiny-bit-worried nature. His favorite things are our two big Percheron mares who he hangs out with, and trail riding. He is a calm happy gentleman, a natural leader out on the trails, and is happy to know he has a safe home with us for the rest of his life.

“You can easily judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him.”
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
