Leadership Montgomery County – LMC

Leadership Montgomery County (LMC) is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization, dedicated to developing and enhancing current and future leaders of Montgomery County. LMC has helped to shape amazing leaders in our community who serve as nonprofit board members, political leaders, committee chairs, CEOs and much more. Take a look around the site, and be sure and contact us with any questions you might have. And apply for the next class when applications are available! Be a part of the future of this great county.

The Class of 2017 chose Henry’s Home as it’s non-profit project for the year.  They did an outstanding job of helping this grassroots organization build out the land that had just been donated by Johnson Development so that it was ready for our Horses & Heroes Equine Program sessions.  They also helped with strategic planning, marketing, networking, and so much more.  They brought in more than $120,000 of in-kind donations from the community.  And the best part is they all pitched in for a couple days of good hard sweat equity.  They continue to support us and will always be family members.  The Best Class Ever!!!!

LMC Class of 2017

LMC Class of 2017 Ribbon Cutting for Henry’s Home on April 19, 2017

ARCH-CON Donated a large construction trailer.

Secure it safely.

It fit perfectly into the space and provides a meeting/recreation room and two offices.

When our volunteers and Johnson Development finished clearing the land for the arena this is what it looked like.  Nice, but full of dangerous stumps.

Arena and Round Pen Grading Donated by JM Smith Construction

How’s that for a perfectly level and safe arena area.

Arena Fencing Donated by Texas Fence.  Start with the post holes.

Insert posts.

Hours later, a perfect 120’x150′ riding and working arena.

Arena Sprinklers Donated by Berkeley Services

With two feet of sand top soil, it can get pretty dusty when it’s dry.  We are so grateful to have sprinklers for our arena and pasture.

Our horses love getting a shower on a hot day.

Entergy Donated the Installation of our Light Poles

MIAM Electric Donated Installation of Arena Lights and Electric throughout the Sanctuary, Including Feeding and Care Pavilion.

We Have Lights!

Bradbury-Thornton Plumbing Donated All New Toilets, Sinks, a Water Heater and Plumbing.

We have hot water for our shower and sinks in the winter!

We had nothing but a porta potty for years, now we are SPOILED!

DL Meacham Donated an ADA Ramp and Deck to the Trailer

Such creativity and generosity with this donation.

Perfect.  Now the veterans who are in wheelchairs have full access to our meeting room.
